A Busy 2025-26 School Year

HCF welcomed the WBMS “Outdoor Explorers Club” on Farming Fridays. Students were involved in an array of outdoor and gardening activities. The year began with restoring the rose garden at the school entrance followed by harvesting sweet potatoes, planting & harvesting collard greens, and growing garlic. In the spring, club members started 900+ tomato, squash, cucumber, and pepper seedlings which were distributed to community home gardeners. The year ended with bird watching with binoculars and the planting of corn and sweet potato slips in the Sharing Garden. Way to go Whale Branch Middle School Orcas!
